End-of-Vacation Blues!
It has been a strange vacation week for me. My husband and I had time off simultaneously, the first time in many years, yet we did not really do anything. Finances prohibited the usual holiday trip most people take on their vacations. Although we spent time together at home or with his family, it feels like we did not really spend time together. Crazy, huh? I often have time off when he doesn't, because of more accumulated PTO, so at those times I tend to bead a lot. This time I found I had the urge to venture forth, and ended up on several short day-trips by myself, while he went kayaking on the lake. That is good, too. We all need time to ourselves. Now that the vacation draws to a close, I find I am not ready to return to work on Tuesday. I wish I had more time off right now! I know that is nothing unusual, but I feel as though I haven't really had any time--it just goes too quickly. Oh well, no use complaining about it. Just gonna have to enjoy Memorial Day to the fullest, tomorrow! LOL
Well, at least I can recognize that I need more time, and perhaps next time I will take more than 5 days off! I hope to go to California to see my family again, but I fear it will not be until next year at the earliest. I'd like them to come here, too, but that does not seem to happen.
Well, I've set up this new blog and not sure why. Just to get one going for now. I'll have to work on my plans for it as I go.

Well, at least I can recognize that I need more time, and perhaps next time I will take more than 5 days off! I hope to go to California to see my family again, but I fear it will not be until next year at the earliest. I'd like them to come here, too, but that does not seem to happen.
